Sunny & The Sunliners
Description:
Born in San Antonio, Texas in 1943, Sunny Ozuna has been a popular Chicano singer for over 50 years. Her husky voice and the tight, funky sound of her band, the Sunliners, have made her a favorite among Chicanos. 1966's "Chicano Soul" is a melancholy, soulful album that represents the world of Chicano soul/lowrider oldies. The album includes the title track, which is a ballad, and many other popular numbers such as "Baby, I Apollo Jazz" and "Put Me In Jail".
