The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) is a United States executive branch agency responsible for establishing policies, priorities, and coordinating actions related to drug control within the federal government. It was established by the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988. The ONDCP reports directly to the President of the United States through the Assistant to the President for National Drug Control Policy. Its primary functions include overseeing the national drug control strategy, budgeting and funding, research, and public education regarding drugs and their effects.
