Elise Neumann
Description:
Elise Neumann, a young German female guitarist, performs a collection of works by J.S. Bach and Castelnuovo-Tedesco. However, the worlds in which the works unfold are quite different. Bach's traditional suite and Castelnuovo-Tedesco's "Escalaman," a collection of free compositions, illustrate the stylistic changes that have taken place over the past 200 years. Neumann plays on an instrument created by Daniel Friederich in 1969, which has a warm and soulful tone. Naxos Japan
